Tata authorised service center noida

  • If there is one car company that is present in all aspects of transportation in the country, it has to be Tata Motors. As part of the Tata conglomerate, Tata Motors started its journey as TELCO (Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company) in 1945 to manufacture commercial vehicles with a partnership with Daimler-Benz AG. It entered the passenger vehicle market in the year 1988, and the Tata Sierra was the first car that was totally made in India that was as good as any international car. Indica launched in 1998 was the first totally indigenous Indian passenger car while Nano introduced in 2008 was the cheapest car ever manufactured in India if not the world. Continuing its journey as a car manufacturer, Tata Motors acquired foreign brands like South Korean Daewoo and such iconic brands as Jaguar and Land Rover. Today, Tata Motors has manufacturing plants not in India, but also in Thailand, South Africa, Argentina and other parts of the world. It also has dedicated service centres all over India, like our Tata-authorised service centre in Noida.

Popular Tata models that are serviced in our service centre

  • From heavy-duty trucks to passenger buses to passenger cars, Tata Motors has a wide variety of vehicles in the market. At present, there are 12 car models in the market from India’s third largest car maker, sales-wise.

Tata Sierra

Tata entered the passenger car market with Tata Sierra in 1991 as an off-road SUV. The model was based on their commercial vehicle Tata Telcoline. This was a three-door and with the same engine as Tata Telcoline. This was a diesel car that was a four-seater. This stylish SUV made a splash in the car market when it was launched because it was the first Indian SUV in the market. It was also exported internationally, and Tata introduced the second generation in 1997. Though it is discontinued now, an EV version of it is expected to hit the market in 2025.

Tata Estate

Introduced in 1992, Tata Estate was the second car the company introduced to entice the passenger car market. The station wagon’s design was based on the Mercedes-Benz station wagon and was quite advanced in its features when it was introduced. This was a diesel car, a 4-seater powered by a 1.9-litre diesel engine. Initially, there were some technical problems with the car, but the company fixed all issues down the road. The car had features like power steering, power windows and a tachometer which was not there in other cars at that time. The car was very popular for its elegant and royal look and was the designated Government vehicle to ferry dignitaries during the 1994 G15 Summit in Delhi. The car was discontinued in 2000, but those who love it still keep it as a treasure. And yes, we in FIDATO service this car as we are a Tata service centre in Noida.

Tata Sumo

This SUV from Tata was launched in 1994 and from its launch, it is the favourite SUV for ferrying passengers from one place to another. This car is the backbone of the tourism industry as it is used to ferry tourists, especially from plains to hills. Made perfectly for Indian roads, the first model was a 10-seater and was based on the Telcoline body design. This car is known for its tough body, ability to drive on all kinds of terrain and durability. It revolutionized this segment of the auto industry when it was launched. In 2000, an updated version called Tata Sumo Spacio was introduced that had the same diesel engine as that of the Tata 407. 2004 saw another version of this ever-popular SUV called Tata Sumo Victa. This version had power windows on all four windows, a multifunctional instrument panel, a keyless entry, a tachometer and other features. 2012 saw the introduction of Tata Sumo Gold which was replaced by Tata Harrier in 2019. Though a discontinued model, Tata Sumo still remains one of the best-selling passenger cars from the company.

Tata Safari

Another iconic SUV from the manufacturer came as a solid competitor to branded off-roaders in the market. The first generation was introduced in 1998, it was a 7-seater with a foldable third row. The engine of the car was the same as Tata Telcoline with a manual gearbox and a 4WD option. Tata remodelled the car from time to time, for example, in 2005 a new bumper shield was added. A 2010 upgrade saw a more aesthetically beautiful interior with wood inserts in the central console. 2012 saw the unveiling of the Safari Storme which was a great hit with the Indian army and replaced Maruti Gypsy. Safari Storme was discontinued in 2019 and in 2021 Tata launched the second generation of Tata Safari which was shown as Gravitas in the 2020 Auto Expo. At present, Tata Safari comes in 6 broad variants and five colour options. This is a diesel engine and shares the same 2-litre engine with another SUV Tata Harrier. There is a choice of transmission between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic one. The new Safari is very feature-rich with a 6-way adjustable driver seat, a 4-way power-adjustable co-driver seat, cruise control, auto AC, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can be played through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Coming to safety features, it has 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, an advanced driver assistant system, an all-wheel disc brake and more. Lastly, buyers can choose between a 6-seater version or a 7-seater one.

Tata Indica

The first truly Indian-made passenger car, Tata Indica was launched in 1998. It was the first Indian hatchback that came with a diesel engine. Within two years of its launch, the car became the highest-selling car in its segment in India. It had features like electric windows and AC which at that time were only present in higher-priced imported cars. Indica saw many upgrades as Tata took into consideration the complaints from its users for the first-generation cars. It also introduced a petrol version of the car. The engines for both cars were based on the engines of Tata pickup trucks and SUVs but with lowered stroke. A CNG version was introduced in 2001 which was not that successful and was recalled and refitted. The second generation of Indica was launched in 2008 and was called Indica Vista and in 2011, an EV model of Indica Vista was launched. This was one of the highest-selling cars from Tata and was also exported to European and African markets as well. Though the car was discontinued in 2018, Indica still has good demand in the Used car market. And of course, if you have one, you can bring it to service at FIDATO as we are a Tata service centre in Noida.

Tata Nano

Hailed as our very own “People’s Car”, this microcar was introduced in the Indian market in 2008 to entice Indian middle-class families who rode scooters or motorcycles. At its launch, it was perhaps the cheapest car in the world and its low price was due to the fact that it had done away with all nonessential features of a car and used less steel in its body. Initially, the car generated quite a buzz in the Indian auto industry and even brought down the price of its nearest competitor, Maruti 800. But later the car had very poor sales due to its image of being a “poor people’s car” and also safety issues. The car manufacturing was stopped in 2018.

Tata Tiago

Tata Tiago was introduced in the year 2016 and is available in six broad variants and 5 colours. Tiago, a 5-seater, has a 1.2-litre petrol engine which can be paired with either a 5-speed AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission. The CNG model comes with only a 5-speed manual transmission. Coming to features, it has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-speaker sound system, a digital driver’s display and more. The safety features of Tata Tiago include rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, cornering stability control and more. There is also an EV version of Tata Tiago that comes in four trims and 5 monotone shades. There are two battery pack options, and the features are more or less similar to the petrol or CNG version. The difference is in the speaker system and extra features like cruise control, steering-mounted controls, and others.

Tata Altroz

Considered to be the safest and most premium hatchback in the Indian market, Tata Altroz was launched in 2020. The car comes in seven broad variants and is available with three types of engine choice: a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.2 litre turbo-petrol unit and a 1.5 litre diseal engine. 5-speed manual transmission is standard in all three while the naturally aspirated petrol engine has an option of 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The CNG version uses this engine, but it doesn’t have the optional dual-clutch transmission but just a 5-speed manual one. The boot space for the petrol and diesel version is 345 while the CNG one has just 210 litre boot space. The features of Altroz are quite good, like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can be played through connected car tech, ambient lighting, single-pane sunroof, and cruise control. The buyers also have plenty of choices when it comes to customizing their Tata Altroz. The safety features are also quite good with ISOFIX child-seat anchors, dual front airbags, and rear parking sensors.

Tata Tigor

A subcompact sedan that is based on the very popular hatchback Tiago, Tata Tigor was launched in 2017 and is one of the current models in the market from this car manufacturer. Developed alongside Tiago, this sedan was launched to replace the previous sedan model called Tata Zest. Tigor comes in four variants and also in four colours. It is a petrol car and there is a CNG version of it as well. The petrol engine is a 1.2 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with a choice between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. A 5-speed manual transmission is the only option for the CNG version. The features include innovative ones like rain-sensing wipers, push-button start/stop, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and a digital instrument cluster. The safety features of Tigor include ABS with EBD, rear parking sensor, and dual front airbags. In 2019 the EV version of Tigor was launched but its target customers were not personal car owners but taxi car owners. It is supposed to be the cheapest EV available for commercial car owners. It also comes in four variants but 5 colour choices and two battery pack options. It also has four charging options. The features are more or less similar to the petrol version but the sound system in the EV is better.

Tata Punch

Another SUV from the company is considered to be the smallest SUV from Tata Cars. The car comes in four variants, Pure, Accomplished, Creative and Adventure. There is a special Camo edition available for the variants Adventure and Accomplished. This is a five-seater with a boot space of 366 litres. The petrol engine is 1.2 litre and can come with either a 5-speed AMT or 5-speed manual transmission. The CNG model only comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The company is also planning to launch an EV version of Punch in the coming years. Coming to features, it has auto AC, cruise control, one 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and another 7-inch semi-digital instrument panel. The safety features include a rear-view camera, ISOFIX anchor, ABS with EBD, rear defoggers, and dual front airbags.

Tata Nexon

The first subcompact crossover SUV, Nexon was launched in 2017. It has since undergone two facelifts, one in 2020 and another in 2023. It comes in four variants, Fearless, Creative, Smart and Pure and 7 colour options. There are also special editions like Kaziranga which was launched in 2022. There is also an EV version of Nexon which was launched in 2020 and was the best-selling electric car that year. The EV version of Nexon has three variants and seven colour options. Coming to engines, there is both diesel and petrol version of the car. The petrol version comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and four transmission choices. The diesel engine is 1.5 litres and comes with two choices, 6-speed manual, or 6-speed AMT. The EV model comes with two battery pack options and four types of charging options. Coming to features, the EV version has a bigger touchscreen infotainment unit (12.3 vs. 10.25) while the fully digital driver’s display is the same for both types. Other entertainment features common to all formats of Nexon include a JBL sound system, cruise control, automatic climate control and wireless phone charging. The safety features for Nexon and Nexon EV both include six airbags as standard, 360-degree camera, and others.

Tata Harrier

This is a diesel compact crossover SUV launched by Tata Cars in 2019. It comes in six broad variants and six colour options. The boot space for this 5-seater is quite big at 425 litres making it a great SUV to take on a long drive. The diesel engine is 2-litre and is paired with either a 6-speed torque converter or a 6-speed manual transmission. The features of this SUV are also quite good with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can play both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is a panoramic sunroof, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charging and more. Safety features include advanced driver-assistance systems that have such functions as blind spot detection and forward collision warning. There are six airbags in the car and also ABS with EBD.
